Hey Guys! A dance is coming...and I happen to be flying 500 miles away from it. This week is the one and only HOMECOMING WEEK! And ok, maybe I didn't dress up every day but I made do with what I had.

Now as much as I would love to attend my school's Shipwrecked themed homecoming I'm leaving tomorrow morning for my sister Kenna's house in San Diego. My impromptu trip is an early birthday present for my up and coming 15th and came as a total surprise to me last week.

Wednesday had everyone seeing double with Twin Day! My twin, of course, was my best friend Maddie Crider. Unfortunately, I'm not only missing the Homecoming Dance but Maddie's last day at my high school. She is transferring to a school that will give her more time to work at her dream career as a model. As much as I'll miss her as I power my way through my high school's halls, I know I can do it and we have some pretty high tech technology called cellphones to keep us closer then ever!

So far Sophomore year is going great! Not only do I have the best friends in the world but I'm realizing the importance of each day. Carpe Diem has never meant more to me then right now as I seize each day with as fiery passion as I can muster at 5:00 a.m., five days a week. Life is filled with unexpected changes lately, the good and the bad, and as a teenager, I'm slowly but surely learning to take life by stride instead of shuffle. Now with my suitcase packed, Maddie on speed dial, and
